Soph has worked as a paralegal at the Bonjean Law Group since January 2025. Their work encompasses all phases of trial preparation, including organizing and analyzing complex discovery, preparing exhibits and case binders, managing court filings, coordinating case logistics, and drafting a range of legal documents. Soph provides comprehensive litigation support on high-profile federal cases and is deeply involved in the strategic development of each case. They recently supported the defense team in a nationally publicized federal trial.

Soph’s path into criminal defense is rooted in a strong foundation of civil rights advocacy. Before joining Bonjean Law Group, they were engaged in pre-litigation work on wrongful arrest and excessive force cases in New York City. Their dedication to social justice also led them to City Year, where they served as a coach and coordinator for middle school students—an experience that deepened their commitment to mental health support, advocacy, and mitigation.

Originally from Boston, Soph has long been committed to community service and creative activism. They've volunteered at homeless shelters, led mural painting projects at schools, and photographed for nonprofit organizations. While studying abroad at the University of Limerick in Ireland, Soph became involved with People Before Profit, reinforcing their interest in grassroots organizing and social reform.

Soph holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College, with concentrations in Political Science and Visual Arts. During their time there, they founded and chaired the Arts and Music Collective, creating a platform for student collaboration and artistic expression.

With a vision centered on equity and systemic reform, Soph plans to pursue law school with a focus on public interest law—specifically public defense and advocacy for marginalized communities..
