Andrea Delia
Andrea Delia joined the Bonjean Law Group in August 2026 after graduating from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She is committed to criminal defense, challenging wrongful convictions, and protecting the constitutional and civil rights of individuals.
Andrea’s interest in criminal defense and civil rights began in high school, when she led her school’s mock trial team to a county championship as lead defense counsel. As a legal intern at Brause, Brause & Ventrice in New Jersey, she assisted with a police brutality and gun violence case ultimately argued before the Third Circuit. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2022.
During law school, Andrea worked on Harvey Weinstein’s criminal trial and other high-profile cases as a summer associate at Aidala, Bertuna & Kamins, P.C., drafting motions and briefs and pursuing post-conviction relief under 28 U.S.C. § 2255. Through the Cardozo Criminal Defense Clinic, she participated in representing clients accused of murder under the supervision of Legal Aid’s Homicide Defense Task Force. She also used her Spanish proficiency to prepare an incarcerated client for his parole hearing.
At Cardozo, Andrea excelled in oral and written advocacy, earning second place in the 2024 Liza Suckle Intra-School Moot Court Competition for her oral argument. During her third year, she served on the Executive Board of the Moot Court Honor Society, competed on the Trial Team Honor Society, and coached two moot court teams. She received the 2026 Michael Downing Memorial Coaching Award after coaching one team to first place at the 2025 Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition and another to a second-place brief award and semifinalist finish at the 2026 UCSF Constitutional Law Competition. She also served on the Student Bar Association and as a teaching assistant for Criminal Law and Legal Writing and Research.
Andrea earned her J.D. from Cardozo in May 2026 and is currently pending admission to the New York bar.
